We need to raise funds in order to carry out the programme of works and other projects in support of our aims and objectives. There are various ways in which we do this.
Donations
We are always grateful for any donations to the cause, whatever it is. 100% of donations go directly to our project work. If you would like to donate any sum, please send this to our postal address (by cheque), or make a bank transfer direct to our account and let us know by email. Our details can be found on our Contacts page.
Sponsorship & Advertising
Various sponsorship packages are available: please ask for details, so that we can tailor any rewards to your needs/wishes. In particular, if you are a business and would like to advertise through or offer a sponsorship reward on one of our products, events or projects, please contact us.
Events & Merchandise
We hold special fund-raising events from time to time (see Events and News pages for details) and we also attend other events in the local area where we man our display stand (for example at the annual Battle of Hastings celebration weekend at Battle Abbey in mid-October). We also sell items of specific merchandise on which all income goes towards our projects, both at these events and directly through this website (by email at the moment – if you are interested in any items please see the Resources page).
Funding Bodies & Schemes
We constantly strive to make the best use of potential grants and awards from funding bodies by making the requisite applications and the case for their support of the work that we do (with varying rates of success, as we know funds and criteria are always tight and demand outstrips availability) but we are not always aware of all the opportunities or avenues of enquiry which may benefit our particular heritage cause. So if you know of a scheme or body which may be worth approaching we would love to know. In addition if you have any ideas for fund-raising activities we would be delighted to discuss them with you.
